AHEPA Joliet Chapter 131

AHEPA DAY 2020 Scholarships and More

May 17th marked NATIONAL AHEPA DAY. The local chapter Joliet #131 (also encompasses surrounding communities), celebrated by serving a delightful breakfast at All Saints Greek Orthodox Church in Joliet. This is a yearly event, awarding scholarships to those of Greek descent.
Earning Scholarships for 2019-2020 were:

  • Andreanna Haritopoulos of Channahon, she will be attending University of Missouri
  • Theo Romac of Shorewood, Theo attends the University of Iowa
  • Matthew Krafcism of Joliet. Matthew will be attending Joliet Junior College.
AHEPA (American Hellenic Educational Progressive Association) founded in 1922 Nationally, (local chapter 131 founded in 1927) AHEPA promotes brotherhood, education, philanthropy, civic responsibility and more through community service and volunteerism. If you are of Greek descent, married to someone of Greek descent, and even if you are not, you are invited to apply to become an AHEPAN.
